Welcome to Columbia College’s fall semester! We hope that you enjoyed your summer and are ready to start a brand new school year. If you just picked up this class schedule, consider two important things: X-Reg and distance education classes.
X-Reg is a one day event for new students at Columbia College. On Saturday, August 15 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, you can do everything that’s needed to begin your education, such as assessment, orientation and advisement, register for classes, pay your fees, buy books, get student ID cards, purchase parking passes, and more. Our distance education program and course offerings have expanded tremendously. In describing its convenience and 24/7 availability, our distance education theme says it all: Learning anytime, anywhere.
We now offer fully online classes which can be done entirely off-campus. In addition, hybrid classes require online learning and some face-to-face contact with the instructor. In either case, this is an opportunity to get a college education while accommodating your individual schedules and circumstances. Distance education lets you learn when and where you can. The only requirements Distance Education: are a computer and an Internet connection.
